Info & Reservation

The “New York Jazz Night” is the live format of “13 Questions Around Jazz” a multimedia project of photo, video, vinyl, live music, podcasts, TV serial, born on purpose to celebrate the New York Jazz Scene in this beginning of Century.
Five years ago Salvatore Corso has an idea: photographing jazz musicians of New York in places not related to their music activities. No clubs, no concerts, no rehearsal rooms. Salvatore goes to their home and takes them pictures in their daily lives. Then, while photographing, he puts them 13 questions, around jazz and around life. To each of them he asks the same questions. In one year, Salvatore has met over 40 musicians, the top of the contemporary New York Jazz Scene. In 2016, for those strange cases of life, Salvatore knows Gigi D’Errico, who deals with music and production in Japan. Gigi suggested to redirect Salvatore’s project to go beyond the “simple” photo book, aiming at collecting and publishing on vinyl a selected first set of songs by the artists involved in the project, to be offered as a combination of sound and visual. A product reserved for a “niche”audience. After two years spent in working on this new way, finally the project has born, and we are presenting it in Japan, Italy and US.
